A colour palette inspired by the natural tones of lead, charcoal and slate, soft red terracotta flooring with underfloor heating, industrial lighting with fabric-wrapped wire hanging from stripped-back beams, and a comfortable mix of antique and contemporary furniture create an effortlessly cool yet incredibly warm and inviting weekend bolt-hole in rural Norfolk. ‘It was important to Ed and me to create somewhere that feels like home the moment we walk in the door, ’ says owner Claire Croft, ‘and we are passionate about using natural materials such as wood, stone and metal to achieve that. We love how light reflects off the different textures, and how that changes throughout the day.’
